In stress echocardiography, heart function is therefore assessed using ultrasound under physical stress on a cycle ergometer. This procedure offers a higher detection accuracy (sensitivity) than, for example, the stress ECG and is favoured in our practice. We are therefore able to rule out circulatory disorders of the heart with a high degree of sensitivity without exposure to radiation.
