Diving suitability in Munich
Diving medical examination
The underwater world is a unique and fascinating environment for us humans. However, due to the pressurised conditions underwater and breathing compressed air, diving has serious effects on many organs, especially the cardiovascular system, lungs and ears.
Nevertheless, diving is a very safe sport if a diver's individual risks are recognised and taken into account at an early stage. To prevent diving accidents, regular medical check-ups are recommended or even mandatory. Many diving centres and clubs therefore require you to present a certificate of fitness to dive before diving.
Dr Reindl as a certified physician of the German Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine (GTÜM) offers diving fitness examinations in our practice. She has been an active scuba diver herself since 1987 and can give you expert advice on diving medicine.
The structured examination in accordance with the GTÜM guidelines includes a detailed medical history, a thorough physical examination including an examination of the outer ear and eardrums, an ECG (stress ECG from the age of 40) and a lung function test.
